I had lost my Sony charger and got this one after reading all the reviews. It is way cheaper than the Sony version and it works great. I found my original charger so now I use this one as a spare but I have not noticed any difference in performance between the two chargers. I would say this is the smarter buy.

4 Stars for $1.99 how can you go wrong
ordered 2 one for car and one for thehouse. Both worked incredibly well. I cannot see paying $65 for the same thing from Sony…. it also charged the mom in law’s Kodak battery just as well.

The Battery Charger worked fine (once I figured out what way the battery is put in) at 10% of the cost for a Sony charger.
