5 Stars Good Battery Charger
This is a good battery charger, that works well with all types of rechargeable batteries. At first, it can be a bit tricky getting D-Sized batteries in and out, because they really push the capacity of the charging bays, but it gets easier after you do it a few times. Overall, I am a satisfied customer.

This does what it is intended to do, great if you want the cheapest that can do the job. But I’d spend a few dollars more to get something easier to use.

1 Star Broke after a few months
It worked ok for a short while, but then stopped charging. At first I thought it was the batteries. I tried a different set of batteries, same problem. I ended up buying another charger and all it well.

3 Stars ok for the money
I got 2 for D batteries. They do the job if I charge them twice.

One of the channels is wonkers, but it does work.

The quickest way to ruin rechargeables is to overheat them. These chargers create a lot of heat with the D batteries. I monitor them myself. That pretty much sucks, but I want a lot of life out of my expensive batteries. On the dead D’s, they charge until the light goes off, but at that point they ARE NOT fully charged. I unplug and plug back in and the same batteries will charge again for half as much time. So, it either doesn’t fully charge, it overheats and shuts off or it doesn’t sense the charge. My money is on a less than adequate charge since, after many runs, I can predict the times that the thing will shut off. If it is from heat, then maybe a note in the manual could suggest that after charging a set of D’s, cool and charge again.

These are big, heavy and a pain, but they are cheaper and do charge. If I could get a better smart charger for 4 D batteries without breaking the bank, I would. As is, you get what you pay for.

5 Stars Works as described
These batteries come mostly charged, hold their charge forever, and are high capacity. I’ve got them in a bathroom scale and while I used to have to pull the NiMH batteries from it to recharge them every six months or so, I haven’t had to do that even once this last year. I’ve got these batteries in my wireless keyboard and mouse and have completely lost track of when I last pulled them for a charge. I also use them most days in an LED flashlight and it just keeps going and going.

These batteries are game changers when it comes to rechargeable batteries. They have all the advantages of non-rechargeables, but you can charge them up when they (finally) run out of juice.

These batteries really work like they said they would. They are ready to use right out of the package, also. The charger works like any other charger. It works just fine. These are the best rechargeable batteries that we have tried.

2 Stars Number of Recharges Questionable!
I bought the 8-pack of these eneloops on 17 July 2008, for 19.99 from Amz. As of 4 Oct. 2009 two show “null” on my La Crosse BC-900 recharger so I can no longer recharge them. A conservative guess is that I’ve recharged them no more than 10 times total. That’s dissappointing considering they advertise that as much as 1000 recharges are possible. At $2.50 per battery I was hoping to get at least 100 recharges, and not have to discard them for at least 5 years. I use them in a passive infrared driveway sensor and small, under-cabinet puck lights. Disappointed. Will look to see if Li-ion rechargeables are available and practical. If they are, too bad I won’t be able to use my La Crosse recharger for them.

5 Stars Last a long time
We use these in our game system controllers. My husband has been using them for the Rockband instruments, and he loves them because he hasn’t even had to re-charge the eneloops yet. It’s nice to not have to go through wasteful batteries for all our electronics, and they seem to work well for all our gamer needs. The other nice thing is that they can be used in anything unlike the rechargeable battery packs that come with the different game systems.

5 Stars Must have!
If you plan on actually shooting enough video to fill the max size SDHC card for the camera that this battery supports, then you need this battery, otherwise you’ll run out of power before you’re done.

I needed this extra battery for my 10MP V1073 Kodak camera since I only use the top quality settings for pictures and video. My only con is the amount of time it lasts fully charged. Kodak should have made it at least 1600 mAh.

I got these to allow me to take more pictures using a Kodak V1253, and it works just as well as the original battery. Alas, after years of being a fan of Kodak’s cameras, they have treated me so poorly recently that this will be the last product of theirs I will EVER own. If you’ve got a Kodak that needs these batteries, by all means, this will suit your needs perfectly. If you’re considering buying one of this company’s products, I recommend you select another brand.

5 Stars Excellent charger
Does a really good job, I’ve used the charger a few times now. It actually charges the batteries a lot better than other chargers have in the past (AA & AAA). The only thing me at first is the fact that you have to plug it in every time you put in another set of batteries. But, that is necessary for safety purposes so that you can’t get shocked easily. Also, I had a tendency to leave other chargers plugged in when not charging batteries so I just eliminated another energy vampire, cool…

4 Stars Nicely Built & Bought For New Batteries
This tech-grrl has a sophisticated fast charger that charges VERY rapidly and is the best thing ever, but I needed a slower charger that charges batteries around 8 hours to initially charge new batteries or ones that’ve been sitting around disused for some months. The reason is that the batteries will last a lot longer that way. Once charged with this unit I can then use my fast smart charger regularly without burning life out of the batteries. I wouldn’t use this charger as the primary one because it charges on a 8 hour or 4 hour timer instead of having a microprocessor that senses when the battery is topped off, so depending on the battery it could be overcharged or undercharged both of which means shorter life.

I’ve been a profession tech chick for over 20 years and know battery technologies inside out and advise clients about what’s best for their applications.

3 Stars Works, but is big and old tech.
This is one of those things where if you want something cheap that works well, and don’t mind the size or old technology, it is OK.

To qualify that, it is 9″ long, 3″ thick, and 4″ wide. That is a MONSTER for the features this thing has.

It should also be noted that this charger works on a timer circuit. With the switch set to “NiCd” it charges for 5 hours, and with it set to NiMH it charges for 8 hours. The charging is at a set rate, so that means in a given time, it can only put out so many mAh. (it varies by cell size, using different contacts at the center point of different sizes of cells)

Here’s a quick example: If you have a AA rechargeable, and you set this charger to “NiMM” it will charge at 250 mA for 8 hours. That is a total charge of 2000 mAh. The problem is that modern AA rechargeables are rated 2400-2650 mAh. So this charger will not give a full charge. A 2650 mAh AA will only end up 76% charged, if it is fully discharged. You can start another charge cycle, but if you don’t remember to pull the batteries out part-way into it, you will be overcharging them.

As a simple charger, it works. But battery technology marches on. Capacities get higher. My recommendation is to invest in a peak detecting charger.

I use a Multiplex LN5014, with a battery holder from Radio Shack. Of course that is a $75 charger, and requires a separate power supply. But I’m sure there are other options available in an inexpensive charger.

This would have gotten a 5 star if it charged faster. 8 hours is a bit long, but what can I expect for the price. I wish you could charge more than 4 AA or AAA batteries at the same time.

But other than me wanting the world and being too cheap to pay for it, I am happy with this charger. I am considering buying another so I can charge more batteries at the same time. I can purchase two more of these and still save money over the cost of other charging units.

I have used it at least 5-6 times since I bought this one .. one of my car had a low air pressure 2-3 times and I was able to use this pump right away .. as u guys may be aware maintaining tire pressure not only increases fuel efficiency but also life of the tier ..

I have also used this for inflating my one year old swimming pool. .. this was no fun and took around 1 hr .but again the inflatable swimming pool was almost 12 feet wide and 8 feed long .. so this was huge ..

And the price at which I bought this (US$24.99) .. I can not be more happier ..

I would definitely recommend to have one handy in your car ..

Only complaint which I have about this product is that you have to hook it to your car outlet ..

5 Stars 10 Years of Great Service
After 10 years, my basic Campbell Hausfeld Inflator gave up the ghost.

That unit fixed many bike tires, filled up numberous slow leaks in our Vehicle tires letting us get to a tire repair station and not have to put on the spare tire. The new unit RP3200 is the same basic model in that it plugs into the cigarette lighter. After all, how many times is BOTH your car battery and tire in need of service at the same. Larry “O”

My previous inflator, another brand, which I had for 10 years finally bit the bullet. I ordered this and love the way it shuts itself off when the proper tire pressure is reached. At first I thought it was broken but I had the dial set improperly, it works great. I would never travel without one of these. Makes it easy to keep your tire pressure set without hunting down a service station that has a working tire inflator.

1 Star Doesn’t work
I purchased this item for its small size to carry in the car. The second time i used it it broke. Both times i was using it to fill a lawnmower tire. The tires max air pressure was only 10 pounds. Its a nice concept but if you want something to last its probably best to purchase a compressor a bit more substantial.

Like other people that bought the batteries….It was not the same battery and I am out 73.00!! There is no way to return it and I hope anyone else thinks twice before they buy off of here. You are better off paying the little bit extra to get what you need.

I purchased a replacement battery for our granddaughter’s Power Wheels 4 wheeler. The battery was a perfect match as promised and our granddaughter loves it. She back on the road (not literally)again.

3 Stars Check for Product Recalls
Let me first state, the picture for this product is the newer fixed battery, which was replaced for certain power wheels based on a lawsuit in which a child was severely burned.

My warning is to make sure your old power wheels are not using the older batteries. the new battery as pictured has a thick black battery connector, the old ones where white and much smaller.

In my case, the barbie power wheels were recalled some time ago. A neighbor gave me their child’s old one, whose batteries were from 1995. I took the 1995 batteries to a local authorized dealer, and he immediately said you will need to exchange the batteries and charger due to a recall.

Long story short, you are buying the newer, fixed batteries, which may not fit your old charger. If this is the case, I suggest you find an authorized dealer and have them replaced (batteries are not replaced for free)

5 Stars Fisher Price 6 volt battery.
We have a battery powered ride on toy that requires 2 of these batteries. The two that came with the toy lasted for 5 years. We purchased 2 more this year so that our daughter could enjoy the ride hopefully for another 5 years.
